RESULTS 2003
Chiltern & Thames Championships - 21st September, Addington Manor
Congratulations go to Hannah Turnbull on Bobby who came 5th in the
Intermediate Show Jumping at the Chiltern & Thames Championships at
Addington Manor. 70 competitors qualified for this class with 22 going
through to a very closely contested jump off. Also a mention to Hannah's younger sister Annaliese
who also made the finals but unfortunately lowered a pole in the jump off in the
Novice class. Well done girls.

Bisley ODE - 7 September 2003
The strength in depth of the SBPC was demonstrated at Bisley ODE on Sunday
(7 September 2003). Shirley Parkinson arranged for two teams to enter the
2'9'' competition. The Pink Team (Lotti, Victoria Dance and Daniella came
second) with the Purple Team (Scarlet, Lotti, Lilly and Alexandra Dance)
coming third. Lotti and Daniella were second and third respectively in the
same arena with only 5 points separating the top 4. Lily Parkinson won best
dressage in her arena..
Festival of the Horse - 24 August 2003
Another excellent result for the South Berks intermediate showjumpers who won the pony club invitation showjumping competition at the Festival of the Horse at Highclere Castle on 24 August against stiff opposition from 16 other branches. The team of Lottie Crocker, Lauren Innes, Lily Parkinson and Ellie Walls was one of only two to qualify for the jump off with no penalties after two rounds over the 3ft course, and a steady clear by Lily on the slippy ground was enough to secure first place in the jump off.
Blarney Dressage Festival - 6 July 2003
Laura Macfarlane was selected for the British Young Rider team competing against Ireland at the Blarney Dressage Festival on 6 July. Her team won the silver medal (being pipped to the gold by 3.4% by the other British team). Laura also won an individual bronze in the Young Rider Novice section. Hurrah for Laura!
Eashing Farm Showjumping - 6 July 2003
Another SBPC result to shout about........
The Novice Team of Alexandra and Victoria Dance, Lauren Innis and Daniella Kilsby-Steele had a very successful day at Eashing Farm by coming third in the Novice Show Jumping over a 3' to 3'3'' course. The team were one on 5 teams (out of 15) which had no penalty points over two rounds of show jumping. A representative from the 5 teams then jumped against the clock. Victoria Dance jumped first after some waiting and was very quick with 4 faults. A tense 10 minutes saw H&H and Garth South go clear in slower times with SBPC coming third. Sashes and rosettes were worn with pride. This augers well for the Novice teams going to the Championships at Somerley on 31 July 2003.
In the warm up class Alexandra Dance came eighth - Daniella was unfortunately eliminated when she took her Dad's advice to use a longer whip which turned out to be a dressage whip!! The perfect excuse to pay little attention to an equine illiterate parent.
The Senior Team came a creditable forth but were unlucky not to qualify for Hickstead with only the first three teams going through.
Rogate ODE - 22 June 2003
Well done to the team of Emma Strang, Grace Bovill, Ali Matchwick, Laura Burgess who took third place in the 3'3" class. Emma got best dressage and Grace was 10th.
