TRAINERS
| Eventing | Richard Waygood |
 | Major Richard Waygood MBE
has ridden from an early age. At 16 he realised an ambition to join the Household Cavalry (The Life Guards). After years of hard work
and dedication he was commissioned from the ranks to hold the highly prestigious and respected post of Riding Master for the Household
Cavalry. In 2002 he realised another life long ambition to ride around Badminton not only did he finish clear but also inside the top 20.
He was the first serving officer of the British Army to compete at Badminton for 23 years. Richard has competed a further three times at
Badminton.
He has had a busy and varied schedule, not only was he the Riding Master for the Household Cavalry, an all encompassing and varied role,
from ceremonial duties such as the State Opening of Parliament to choreographing and running the world famous Household Cavalry Musical
Ride performing all over the world from the Horse of the Year Show to the frozen lake at St.Moritz. He is also a top Event Rider a British
Eventing accredited trainer, holds the BHS award of merit and is the Chef d'Equipe for the Two Star European Eventing Championships and was
recently nominated for the Queens Award for outstanding contribution to the equine world. To give an idea of the wide range of riding
experiences Richard has the Horse and Hound held a competition of 30 things you must do on a horse before you die. Richard at the time
was runner up to Alice Plunket (Channel 4 Racing correspondent) and beat Lord Oaksley into third spot. He is now in the lead as he has
galloped with wildebeest and ridden on the frozen lake at ST Moritz. He has also carried out for Incentevents on behalf of the EHOA
course walks at the world Equestrian Games in Acchen two European Championships and at the Olympic Games in Hong Kong. To give an
idea of Richard varied coaching skills last year Richard was the guest coach for 80 instructors on there accreditation day at
Milton Keynes Eventing Centre.
Richard has embarked on various new projects with gust since retiring from the army these involve many varied activities.
He coaches and trains many riders up to international level, manages and trains the 2 Star British Eventing Team and has
recently taken over as Chef d Equipe for the British Dressage Team in the build up to the 2012 Olympics. He is invited on a regular
basis to speak as the guest speaker at many different venues more recently he has joined Ashridge Business School (rated by the
Financial Times as Britton's top Business School) and lectured to various businesses on leadership and motivation.
He is also a part of a small team that are in the process of resurrecting the Royal Tournament.
He still competes internationally in 3 day events and takes small groups on Riding Safaris to various locations around the world.
Richard has recently become an Ambassador for the Brooke Charity after visiting their field work in Ethiopia.
He has several other equestrian projects on the go in various countries such as Spain, Bahrain, Hong Kong and the USA.

| Eventing | Mark Corbett |
 | Mark is a BE Accredited trainer
with 25 years experience at international 3-day eventing from 1* to 4*.
While still competing from novice to international level events, Mark is also involved in training the South Eastern JRNs and
teaches the Pony Club Senior teams.

| Eventing | Claire Turner |
 | Clare Turner MSc. BHSII SM is responsible
for the coaching at Skylands. She is a member of British Eventing's Coaching Development Team - a
select group of talented coaches hand-picked for their potential to be the country's future coaching stars.
She is also The British Equestrian Federation's Regional Coach for the South West.
She is a BE accredited Coach who has produced horses and riders from grass roots up to International levels
in eventing, to Advanced Medium level dressage and Grade B showjumping.
Clare is passionate about teaching horse and rider combinations of all standards and welcomes everyone
to Skylands with the same infectious enthusiasm. Clare's depth of expertise and breadth of experience make it
possible for her to approach each horse and rider partnership with a unique degree of flexibility and understanding.

| Dressage | Fiona Harter |
 | Fiona is a Group 2 British Dressage Rider, and has been a listed Dressage Judge for 18 years.
Fiona established Tidmarsh Stud in 1988 running a business as a licensed quarantine yard ,as well as a livery yard.
She also ran a business from her yard buying and producing horses for sale. Importing from Ireland, Germany, France and Holland.
She has enjoyed success with many horses over the years producing and competing different types/temperaments of horses through the levels.
She has had numerous wins at Advanced/FEI Prix st Georges/FEI Inter1 with a diverse range of horses.
Fiona has been training all levels and ages of riders for over 25 years. Her style is friendly and unassuming, her clients have had success from Prelim to Prix st Georges. The emphasis being on enjoyment and empathy with the horses.at every level of our sport.
Judging is another passion of hers and in particular Horses Trials. It made her feel rather old when she was presented
with a long service award for Tweseldown Horse Trials for judging every year for the last 17 years!

| Intermediate Show Jumping | Sharon Taylor |
 |
From the age of 14 Sharon trained with Guy Williams , Andy Austin and Tina and Grayham Fletcher,
She has competed ponies and young riders.
Sharon has competed horses from youngsters to grade A's
Sharon produces young horses and is very passionate about her teaching and enjoys teaching riders of all levels.
Sharons ambition is to start up her own training centre for aspiring young showjumpers.

| Novice Show Jumping | Megan Fletcher |
 |
Megan qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1999.
After 3 years as a Captain in the British Army specialising in Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation she left to
study at The Royal Veterinary college. She graduated in 2006 with a Masters degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy
and Category A membership of ACPAT (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy).
She has been running the Bournefield Animal Rehabilitation Centre and a private human physiotherapy practice since.
She also competes in British eventing and has ridden internationally up to CCI** level.
She was the branch Chief Instructor for 4 years.

Tamzin has evented to BE Advance Level and runs her own Livery Yard in Padworth, Berkshire.
She is currently Chief Instructor of the Woodland Pony Club.

| Instructor | Joe Harter |
 |
Joe has over 25 years of experience training horses. In this time he has trained
hundreds of horses and has competed successfully in Show Jumping up to and including 1.40 level,
dressage to advanced and eventing to advanced.
He is currently concentrating on competing young event horses.
Joe has often concentrated on producing young horses,
which he does thoroughly and expertly, always with their long term future in mind.
He takes in horses for breaking and schooling, preparing them for competition by himself or
clients and is also able to accept horses to prepare for sale.
Joe is a British Horse Society Instructor (BHSI) and a British Eventing Accredited Coach
with over 25 years of experience teaching and training riders of all levels.
He has successfully trained many working pupils to pass BHS exams up to and including Stage 4 level.
His pupils are also successful show jumping up to 1.25 level, in dressage up to advanced and eventing.
He has done a lot of teaching for the pony club and riding clubs, including training teams.
